1. Pre-Orders
We frequently offer books, magazines, and merchandise as “Pre-Orders.”
- Payment: When you place a pre-order, you are charged the full amount of the item at checkout. This guarantees your reservation.
- Fulfillment: The listed release date (e.g., July 24, 2026) is an estimate. While we work diligently to meet these deadlines, unexpected printing or shipping delays can occur. We will communicate any significant delays via email.
- Cancellations: Pre-orders can be canceled for a full refund at any point before the item has begun the shipping and fulfillment process.
2. Pricing and Payment Terms
- Currency: All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise noted.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout, processed securely via Stripe.
- Security: We do not store your raw credit card information on our servers. All transactions are encrypted and processed by our third-party payment gateway.
- Taxes: Depending on your location and applicable tax laws, sales tax may be calculated and added to your total at checkout.
3. Shipping and Fulfillment
- Physical Goods: We ship to the addresses provided at checkout. Please ensure your shipping address is accurate. We are not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect addresses.
- Print-on-Demand: Some of our merchandise may be fulfilled via third-party print-on-demand services. These items may ship separately from our books and magazines.
- Digital Goods: Digital purchases (e.g., eBooks, digital magazine issues) are delivered instantly via a secure download link. Due to the nature of digital goods, these sales are final.
4. Returns and Refunds
We want you to be thrilled with your Merganser Magazine purchases.
- Damaged Items: If your book or merchandise arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 14 days of receipt at editor@mergansermagazine.com with a photo of the damage. We will happily issue a replacement or a refund.
- General Returns: If you are unsatisfied with a physical item for any other reason, you may return it in its original, unused condition within 90 days for a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
5. Intellectual Property
All content sold through this store, including the literary works, poetry, cover art, and merchandise designs, is the intellectual property of Merganser Magazine and its contributing authors and artists. Purchasing a book or piece of merchandise does not grant you the right to reproduce, distribute, or resell the work.
